The Hidden Treasure Tea Room started life as a series of pop-up afternoon tea events around South London in 2012. 
 
I was born and raised in Exeter, moving on to the big smoke in my teens to study live performance after which I pursued a career in theatre and music - two decades of writing, performing, teaching and developing work for live audiences.  It was hard work - irregular and without guarantees, but I enjoyed every single changeable and challenging minute.  For me, a girl from the sticks who attended the local state comprehensive, it was nothing short of an improbable dream come true.

In December 2022, after ten fantastic years working full time from the tearoom premises in Exeter, I decided it was time for a change.  I spent much of 2023 travelling around the world, catching up with loved ones, collaborating on new projects with other creative folk and generally re-assessing my work life balance (as well as catering a series of amazing private events at home in the glorious South West of England.
